Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Are Recreating Their Big Summer Outing Tomorrow

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle put on a friendly display at the women's final at Wimbeldon.

Duchesses Meghan and Catherine attended Wimbledon on Saturday to watch Serena Williams and Simona Halep compete in the women's singles final.

Williams, who was defeated by Halep, is a close friend of Meghan and attended the former actress' wedding to Prince Harry past year. The Hugo Boss skirt featured navy detailing and a pleated design. The Duchess of Cambridge was also spotted at the event, wearing a attractive pink patterned dress by L.K.Bennett with a red Mulberry bag that she wore cross body.

"I know lots of people would like to get pictures of Meghan and I know people get cross when she gets upset because she's a public figure".

"You played an incredible game", Kate said.

"She couldn't be a better friend to me".

Serena Williams is so thankful for Meghan Markle's support.

Asked before Saturday's match which one person she would want watching in the royal box, she said: "Kate".

The two duchesses arrived separately to SW19, with Kate first meeting some female junior players in her role as patron of the All England Lawn and Tennis Club. She added a very swish pair of aviator sunglasses by Stella McCartney and wore her glossy hair in a sleek and straight style as she enjoyed the sunshine. This marks the second joint appearance for the sisters-in-law this week, when they attended a charity polo match together on Wednesday. The delivery of baby Archie was kept a secret, she refused to pose for a picture on hospital steps after giving birth and now, the Wimbledon incident could be used as justification for the new nickname.

This week has seen a high royal presence at the famous competition with the Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex also attending.

Poldark star Aidan Turner, actress Lily James and Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker were also spotted among the Wimbledon crowds.
