Google Cloud's bad month continues as Google Calendar sputters

Google Cloud's bad month continues as Google Calendar sputters

Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 780 reports from users at one time insisting Google Calendar is not working properly.

Bad news if you were hoping to know where you were meant to be today, who you should be meeting with, and when, with Google Calendar experiencing widespread outages worldwide. Google Calendar really does appear to be down.

Once things are back up and running, we'll update this post accordingly.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Google Cloud underwent a massive outage that saw services like Gmail, Google Drive, and even some third-party services like Snapchat and Vimeo go down.

No doubt a coincidence, but the last Tweet sent from Google's Gsuite Twitter account was about how the Calendar app makes scheduling simpler.

As of 10:30 a.m. (ET), almost 4,400 reports had been submitted from users affected by the outage.

One said: "Google Calendar is down". It doesn't appear that the issue is something that is hitting everyone, though many users have reported getting errors on both mobile and desktop whenever they try to access the Google Calendar application.

Another remarked: "Google Calendar is down and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do 30 minutes from now".
