Gods and Monsters, an Open World Action-Adventure Game, Announced by Ubisoft

More than any previous Assassin's Creeds, Odyssey delved into myths, even throwing legendary creatures in our way and sending us down into Hades, but it looks like that hasn't scratched the team's itch for mythology.

This new game dips into mythology and the gods and is called Gods and Monsters.

In Gods and Monsters players take control of Fenyx, a hero who must restore power to the Greek Gods after they have been stolen from them by Typhos.

"Over the last 10 years, I have had the chance to be part of an incredible team that has pushed the limits of Assassin's Creed to explore historical periods from a unique angle, but our imagination has always been bound to the reality of the history books". It's billed as an open-world adventure game that will take players on a journey exploring Greek mythology, and features a lovely painted art style to boot. The player will have god-like powers and battle Gorgons, Hydras, and Cyclops. "Today, with Gods & Monsters, the tales we all love and know so well become a reality to be explored like never before".

Gods & Monsters launches on February 25, 2020.

Players will be tasked with helping the Greek gods regain the throne of Olympus, having been thrown down by the deadliest of all monsters, Typhon. Those services include Google Stadia and Ubisoft's own newly announced subscription service, Uplay+.

And that goes right down to the art style.
