The $530 million top prize is the 7th biggest in the 17-year history of Mega Millions and the 15th largest in US lottery history.

The Oceanport man learned he won $1 million while on his way to lunch with his father.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. "We had a great victor of the Powerball jackpot on Saturday".

Three matched all five white balls to win the game's $1 million second prize.
