Elon Musk reveals Cuphead is coming to Tesla

Tesla reported $700 million in losses for the first quarter of 2019.

Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk confirmed the plan during an appearance on Ride the Lightning, a weekly Tesla podcast hosted by IGN's Ryan McCaffrey.

Cuphead will be playable in Tesla Model 3, Model S, and Model X.

The game is running "nice and clean" she said, though Tesla storage limitations mean that only the Inkwell Isle One section of the game will be playable in cars.

"It's a cool game", he continued. "It's insanely hard". It's a twisted plot. It's also the reason you can't play it using the touchscreen controls, you'll need a wired USB controller to give it a whirl when it becomes available. The team at Tesla has been working on porting Unity onto their cars, and it seems they've succeeded with help from Cuphead developer Studio MDHR. It, and other games, will also only run when the auto is parked.

Days before Tesla announced its prices for the made-in-China Model 3, the EV maker was said to be considering pricing its flagship electric vehicle at between US$43,400 (300,000 Chinese yuan) and US$50,700 (350,000 yuan) before subsidies.

Max Warburton, author of the Bernstein report, said that Tesla's weakened position will benefit those companies and traditional carmakers as it will likely slow regulator's push for more drivers to adopt electric cars.

"When Tesla reached out to us to bring Cuphead to their vehicles, we were thrilled!" In all cases, video games can only be played in Tesla cars when they're parked.

The Tesla version of Cuphead is expected to be ready later this summer.
