Amber Alert for 5-year-old girl, allegedly abducted by 3 men

Vence said he was driving at the time with the little girl and her 2-year-old brother and were en route to pick up the children's mother at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Maleah was missing, Vence said.

Vence told police that he, Maleah and his 2-year-old son were abducted by three Hispanic men after he pulled over on a Houston highway Friday night. He heard a popping noise like a flat tire, and stopped. Cops said the vehicle was "a 2010 blue Chevrolet crew cab pickup truck". He was in and out of consciousness until he and his son were eventually dropped off in Sugar Land on Saturday, police said.

He says he walked with the boy to a nearby hospital for help around 11 p.m., where he reported Maleah missing.

"I wouldn't call her special needs, but she has needed a lot of care and she was sick this week, too", Holbrook said.

Maleah Davis may have been abducted by three men in a pickup truck, according to an Amber Alert issued in regards to her disappearance.

That's when a blue pickup truck pulled up behind the vehicle and two Hispanic males got out, according to Vence's narrative to police.

The report said he was beaten and went in and out of consciousness for 24 hours. "According to Darion, what happens next is a blue pickup truck pulls up behind him, two Hispanic males get out".

"I'd like to know if anyone has seen these people", Holbrook said.

Authorities have not found any surveillance footage or witness accounts that corroborate Vence's version of events. Holbrook said that the Altima was spotted at an intersection in Sugar Land around 3 p.m. Saturday.

When reporters at the news conference expressed skepticism about the veracity of Vence's memories, Holbrook said authorities were relying on the public to aid the investigation.

A small search party handed out 100 missing-person posters in a park in Sugar Land, near where Maleah allegedly disappeared, CNN affiliate KPRC reported. So you have to get out there, get their face out there, because people don't know.

Maleah, who stands 3 feet tall and weighs 30 to 40 pounds with brown eyes, was last seen wearing a pink bow in her black hair, a light blue zip-up jacket, blue jeans and gray, white and pink sneakers, say police.
