Regulars Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as Bond pal Tanner and Jeffrey Wright as Central Intelligence Agency agent Felix Leiter will all return too.

The cast announcement came as part of the live event held in Jamaica to launch the new film ahead of its April 2020 release, reports the Daily Mirror.

After shooting in Jamaica, Bond 25 (whatever the heck it's going to be called) will be continuing production at its traditional home of Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom, before shooting further on location in London, Italy, and Norway.

The new cast members include Dali Benssalah, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Ana De Armas and Billy Magnussen.

Malek went on to cite Dr. No as one of his favorite Bond films, which is interesting given that production is kicking off where that first James Bond movie was filmed. "No", was filmed on the island, as well as 1973's "Live and Let Die".

Executive producer Barbara Broccoli confirmed that "Bond is not on active service when we start the film, he is actually enjoying himself in Jamaica".

The journey to the upcoming 25th James Bond film has been one that has been thoroughly shaken and stirred. The film's producers and star Daniel Craig did hint at certain plot details even if numerous castings they confirmed had been widely reported. Caru Fukunaga who has directed the famed HBO series True Detective, will be directing this much speculated movie.

If we were to venture a guess, the structure shown in the photo below is probably be the corner of the world that James and Madeline will call home at the beginning of Bond 25.

It feels like somewhat of a stretch to say Bond 25 has been a troubled production, but it's clear that it hasn't been smooth sailing for the film. He took the reins after the original director Danny Boyle parted ways over creative differences.

Bond 25, which was written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag!), is expected to open in April 2020.
