Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Release Date, Trailer, Gameplay Details Revealed

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC November 15th, 2019. And now Abrams is back for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, he's teased that there's a little more to the story of who Rey really is to be revealed. Hear how Respawn and Lucasfilm collaborated on this original Star Wars story, following a young Padawan's journey in the Dark Times following Order 66.

The footage reveal came as part of the Jedi: Fallen Order panel on Saturday, April 13, when the studios also announced a release date for and several details about the game.

And of course, we have plenty more coverage from Star Wars Celebration, including our comprehensive coverage on everything we've learned so far about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Lucas was clearly hurt by this decision, but over the last few years he has seemingly warmed to the new installments to the Star Wars franchise.

While the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy remains a subject of controversy, most seem to agree that Ian McDiarmid's take on Emperor Palpatine was a standout, particularly in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Brought to life by Respawn, a studio known for high-quality games that are both visually lovely and technically masterful, players will use their Jedi training to create different melee combinations with an innovative lightsaber combat system and Force abilities. This character is brand new within the Star Wars universe canon and was brought to life with help from writers previously attached to the Star Wars Clone Wars television series as well as Star Wars Rebels. He is joined by his droid, BD-1 (which stands for "buddy droid 1"), his mysterious Cere (Deborah Wilson), and others, whom Monaghan described as a "family".

Fallen Order was first revealed at the 2018 EA Play event, just days before the official start of E3 2018.

Jedi: Fallen Order's lightsaber combat system will have players striking, parrying, and dodging while using powerful Force abilities against their foes.

As reported earlier this evening, the game will be launching this November and will feature an entirely single-player campaign mode.

Lucasfilm has made a decision to put Star Wars movies on hiatus after the release of Episode IX, Rise of Skywalker, to focus on their shows for parent company Disney's upcoming streaming service.
