Arizona Cardinals announce 2019 preseason schedule

The NFL announced its preseason opponents on Tuesday but did not specify dates or times for the games.

Specific dates and times will be announced in the near future.

The Cardinals will open their preseason at home at State Farm Stadium to play the Los Angeles Chargers.

The third preseason game is traditionally more of a dress rehearsal for the season than the other preseason games.

The Broncos will play in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 1 at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton.

The Colts, of course, won nine of their final 10 regular season games to finish 10-6 and earn their first playoff berth in four seasons; they went on the road to defeat the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round before falling to the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round.

Observation: it could get cold on the road for next year's team.

In Week 2 of the preseason, the Giants will remain at MetLife Stadium when they host the Bears between August 15-19. And the contest against Denver will take place at the L.A. Coliseum in preseason Week 3. The team said that means it's one step closer to announcing the regular season schedule, which the National Football League is expected to release later this month.

Past the NFL Draft, the NFL offseason is a long, slow-moving time for the Washington Redskins. A two-game home stretch at Dignity Health Sports Park highlights Weeks 2 and 3 with games against the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks. The preseason schedule once again features some common opponents the Bills often face in the exhibition season.
