Fortnite's Reboot Van lets you bring back eliminated teammates

Fortnite's Reboot Van lets you bring back eliminated teammates

Fortnite will be implementing it in a similar way where a player will be able to collect a dead teammate's "reboot card" and have them respawn at one of the "reboot vans".

"Rebooted" players appear appear on top of the van, if multiple players have been revived, they will do so one by one.

Once the Reboot Van has been activated, the sound and lights will be a beacon for other nearby players.

Fortnite has announced the Reboot van in Battle Royale Dev Update #13. The video also advises players to give some items to their respawned teammates, which suggests that revived players will return to the game without any items, also as in Apex Legends. They can then be brought and used at the Reboot Vans, which can be found at various locations on the map, to bring back fallen teammates.

Respawning really does change the whole battle royale experience.

The Reboot Van will allow players to resurrect their teammates in the Duos, Trios, and Squads modes.

For those who follow Fortnite closely, the Reboot Van has been a known quantity for quite some time.

Unlike Apex's respawn beacons, it seems as though Fortnite's reboot vans can be used a couple of times. This is the second feature that Fortnite has copied from Apex Legends, the first one being the ping system. Vans will be located near major points of interest, Epic says, so that means popular areas like Tilted Towers, Retail Row, etc.

Recently there has been much discussion about how Fortnite can slow down the game to have more players in the endgame.

In February, Epic Games held a Reddit AMA. We'll be breaking down those patch notes for you when that update drops, so check back here at SlashGear for more.
