Get a free year of Nintendo Switch Online with Twitch Prime

If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can now claim a new offer of 12 free months of Nintendo Switch Online with a Prime member account.

As far as monthly subscriptions go, Nintendo's online service - while not as good a deal overall as PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold - was relatively affordable. Like most promotions, though, there's some fine print to consider before you link your Nintendo and Twitch accounts to redeem your free Switch Online time. (That means you can't swipe a parent's unused Switch months if you also claim your own.) The three-month offer expires September 24 of this year, while the additional nine-month offer must be claimed by January 22, 2020.

If you're not already a Twitch Prime subscriber, you'll be able to join by clicking the "Claim" button at this deal's offer page and following the prompts. Members can now get 12 free months of Nintendo Switch Online.

The offer starts off with a free 3-month offer, then afterwards, another 9-month individual membership becomes available. That service typically costs Switch owners $20 per year. So, here's how to claim three months of Nintendo Switch Online via the Amazon Prime (and Twitch Prime) trial.

Twitch Prime users have a lot of reasons to celebrate right now. From there, they will be taken to the offer's page, where they can claim the first three months of the subscription for free. But given Amazon bought the service for people who unaccountably find watching other people play games more interesting than playing games, that's the same thing.
