Philadelphia 76ers Trade Markelle Fultz To Orlando Magic

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers have reached an agreement with the Magic to send Fultz to Orlando for forward Jonathan Simmons, a first-round pick (top-20 protected from Oklahoma City) and a second-round pick. Philadelphia will receive Jonathon Simmons, a first-round pick and a second-round pick in exchange for the 20-year-old guard.

Fultz is now sidelined while recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome, and though he's expected to play again this season, his problems extend well beyond his health.

Fultz who's just 20 years old has been in and out of the lineup with a nagging shoulder and wrist injury.

The future of Markelle Fultz with the Philadelphia 76ers remains uncertain.

The 76ers traded up in the 2017 draft with the rival Boston Celtics to grab Fultz with the first pick, a move that has failed in hindsight as Boston got arguably the best player in the draft with the No. 3 pick in Jayson Tatum.

Fultz's representatives informed the Sixers last month that the guard would be shut down until he had been examined by specialists.

National Basketball Association reporter Keith Smith says the Sixers will take caution with Fultz and that he may not play for them this season.

Markelle Fultz is on the move.

Simmons is averaging 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 41 games this season.

Fultz appeared in just 33 games since the 76ers took him first overall, and hasn't played this season since November 19 as he deals with thoracic outlet syndrome.
