Ariana Grande pulls out of performing AND attending the Grammy's

According to reports, Ariana made the hard decision not to attend the awards after producers refused to let her perform her new track 7 Rings during the show, leaving her "insulted".

According to Variety, the singer made a decision to back out of performing at the event after producers argued with her over which songs she would be able to perform.

The 25-year-old is also nominated for two awards at the ceremony, Best Pop Vocal Performance for "God Is a Woman" and Best Pop Vocal Album for 2018's Sweetener.

Variety reports that Grande sought to perform "7 rings", the latest single from her new album, thank, u next.

The insider added that these conditions weren't imposed on any other performers at the February 10 show. In fact, she might not even attend.

Considering "7 Rings" just broke Spotify's record for most streams in its first 24 hours, it's hard to argue this as a bad choice for her to perform on the live show.

Representatives for the Recording Academy and Grande did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment.

Meanwhile, Taylor, who is also nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, is also thought to be giving the Grammys a miss.

Alicia Keys will host the Grammy Awards scheduled to take place at Staples Center, Los Angeles.
