Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Stacey Dooley wins Glitterball Trophy

YouTuber Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell's judges' pick is their paso doble to Bastille's Pompeii from week seven, while Steps star Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice will give their romantic Viennese Waltz to Seal's It's A Man's Man's Man's World from week two.

Fellow finalist Stacey Dooley was praised by her dance partner Kevin Clifton as the most improved celebrity he has danced with during his years on the show.

Earlier in the night, host Tess Daly had reminded viewers that the judges' scores were for "guidance only" and it would be those watching at home who decided the victor.

Speaking to Stylist magazine the documentary maker who's paired with Kevin Clifton on Strictly has revealed the element of the show which has surprised her most.

When she was asked how she plans to mark the occasion, she said: 'Go to McDonald's.

A second quipped: "That moment when you are watching Strictly with your mum and she says...rewind that".

But others were quick to race to the star's defence, with one fan exclaiming: "Calm down twitter".

Turning her attention to BBC Three presenter Stacey, Karen added: "You are what Strictly is about girl!" Do you know what? I think you're the biggest gem. But he's so patient and he walks you through.

Meanwhile, Kevin gushed: "Thank you so much, not just for being so unbelievable and dancing so well, but just for being the most wonderful person to work with".

"I may not have won the glitter ball, but I've won something a million times more special."
It's hard work - 10, 12 hours a day dancing - but it's so worthwhile.

"We're still friends and we were messaging through the show on Friday when they were in the studio because he's just a great mate, which I explained to everybody when I was on here earlier in the year". I've fallen in love with Strictly all over again.
