Spider-Man's next batch of DLC nabs a release date

Spider-Man's third and final DLC chapter in The City that Never Sleeps has a release date.

Get the special Spidey fans in your life the Digital Deluxe Edition, which gets you the full game, as well as all three chapters of "Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps" for $79.99.

The focus of the upcoming expansion is Silver Sable, who, according to the official blurb, has returned to New York City in order to reclaim her stolen Sable International Tech.

For what it's worth, the add-ons so far have been fine, mostly bolstered by the core strength of Spider-Man itself. Spider-Man: Silver Lining will cost $9.99 as a standalone purchase, but will also available in a DLC pack with the other two episodes for $24.99.

Spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. With New York Police Chief Yuri Watanabe on administrative leave following her exploits against Hammerhead, Spider-Man will have to rely on unlikely allies to keep Marvel's New York safe.

Silver Linings features new missions, new and upgraded enemy and crime types, and upgraded Hammerhead bases and storyline quests. There will also be new trophies and challenges.

The trailer below gives a glimpse of what to expect from the story in the DLC.

Meanwhile, the Spider-Man Cyborg Suit and the absolutely awesome-looking Aaron Aikman Spider-Armour round out the trio of new outfits.

"It was a real pleasure working in partnership with Sony Pictures and Marvel to bring this suit to the game - and we can't wait to see what you do in photo mode with it!" The movie starts off with this Peter's narration, catching viewers up on the broad strokes of the Spider-Man story.
