New trailer showcases the power of Captain Marvel

"Noble warrior heroes." Cut to a montage of Danvers' backstory, from being involved in a jet fighter accident and being infused with Kree blood, which has allowed her to "live longer, stronger, superior".

Captain Marvel's new trailer offered a number of new story details.

The trailer begins with Carol Danvers, in her green Captain Marvel costume, cautiously walking through a subway vehicle, intercut with a conversation between Danvers and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the centre of the maelstrom. Captain Marvel was teased in one of the post-credit scenes of Infinity War.

Captain Marvel's extended cast features a murderer's row of big names, including Larson, Jackson, and Law, along with Ben Mendohlson, Djimon Hounsou, Annette Benning, and Clark Gregg, who returns to the series as S.H.I.E.L.D. Although the name of Benign's character is not yet known, it appears that her character has a significant part in Carol's superhero origins.

The movie, which stars actress Brie Larson, is set to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.

"You have this Kree part of her that's unemotional, that is an fantastic fighter and competitive", Larson told Entertainment Weekly. There, she explains to him about the intergalactic war between the Kree and the shape-shifting Skrulls, which leaves Earth stuck in the middle.

Just like in the first trailer, Carol has faint memories of her life on earth. How did she become Captain Marvel?
