Milton shines, No. 11 UCF routs No. 19 Cincinnati 38-13

UCF certainly made its case once again, winning its 23rd straight game while clinching the American Athletic Conference East division and home-field advantage in the conference championship game December 1.

To the game itself, Cincinnati comes into this game with just one loss-an overtime defeat at Temple a couple weeks ago.

The junior from Kapolei, Hawaii, rebounded from losing a fumble Cincinnati recovered in the end zone for a touchdown on UCF's first offensive play to complete 13 of 25 passes, including TDs of 17 yards and 42 yards to Adrian Killins and 36 yards to Tre Nixon.

For weeks, people have been asking what's wrong with UCF's defense - especially after the Knights gave up almost 700 yards against Temple a few weeks ago.

"This is the most unique story in college football because it's in the thrust of continuing to build what it's going to be", Heupel said.

The Bearcats moved the ball better than the lopsided result suggests, finishing with 252 yards rushing.

The 11th-ranked Knights feel they are one of the best teams in the country and welcome any opportunity to strut to their stuff on a grand stage.

This wasn't supposed to happen, not to UCF - riding a 22-game winning streak, No. 11 in the College Football Playoff ranking, the reigning national champions according to the banners flying in the tailgate area.

On the field, UCF has continued to be strong.

"I think our conference is a very good conference", quarterback McKenzie Milton said. On defense, the Bearcats are holding foes to 278.2 total yards of offense per game. He is 14th nationally in passing yardage at 288.6 yards per game, with 21 TD passes and just five interceptions. The Bearcats will beat the point spread, but McKenzie Milton is going to make the difference as he leads a comeback victory on the road.

Fearless Prediction: Given the statistics, this game looks like it should be close and not as high scoring as numerous UCF scores have been.

Clemson has two wins over teams now ranked in the top 25 in No. 12 Syracuse and No. 20 Boston College.
