Samsung reportedly revealing foldable phone design tomorrow

Lee Kyeong-tae, Samsung vice president for mobile communication, said last week the phone's user interface will be unveiled at an annual conference for app developers which will take place in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Now, it would seem the Samsung Experience UI in the process of being replaced by the all-new One UI.

Phone displays have become bigger each year as they and increasingly used for watching videos, reading and social media.

The era of the foldable smartphone is coming.

"Samsung needs to focus on perfecting a few killer use cases when a product does come out", said industry analyst Patrick Moorhead in a tweet. Speaking today at the Android Developer Summit, VP of engineering Dave Burke said that Google is "enhancing Android to take advantage of this new form factor with as little work as necessary". Indeed, Microsoft's oft-rumored Surface Phone was expected to offer a foldable display that looked like a tablet when opened up.

While holographic displays might be a bridge too far, we fully expect to see some of these features crop up on the S10, which is slated to appear in early 2019.

Both of those screens will have a big impact on battery life, so Samsung will have to include a large battery to keep the phone lasting all-day long. It uses a new display technology called Infinity Flex Display that lets you open and close the device over and over without any degradation. When folded in half, a second screen on the outside means it can operate like a pocket-friendly smartphone. Now, the South Korean giant Samsung will soon introduce foldable smartphones and not only that even the South Korean giant Samsung officially teases its first foldable smartphone.

Screen technology has already been revealed that allows displays to be rolled with LG showing off its foldable TVs earlier this year.

Samsung is all set to announce details of its foldable phone at the Samsung Developer Conference to be held on November 7 and 8.

Either way, the spectacle of the folding phone is imminent. In phone mode, you can scroll through the news app like normal. They officially announced support for a category of Android devices it's made a decision to call "Foldables".
