Vice President Pence campaigns for Brian Kemp in Georgia

Winfrey - who sparked speculation about her own political future earlier this year - also said she wasn't considering a run for political office.

Oprah Winfrey delivered an impassioned call to voters Thursday in a fiery stump speech in support of Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. I've earned the right to think for myself. I don't want to run.

"Brian Kemp's getting the support of all kinds of hard-working, good people all across Georgia, and Stacey Abrams is being bankrolled by Hollywood liberals", Pence said.

Trump said that Abrams' history and her ideas made her unqualified for the governorship.

"And Georgia wants a governor that's going to put Georgia values and Georgia first", he said. I don't wanna go in those waters, ' she said, shaking her head and waving her finger.

Winfrey praised her as a "change-maker" who represents the values of all Georgians.

Among that "onslaught", Winfrey blasted Republican ads she'd seen in her hotel room casting Abrams as too radical for the state, calling it "noise...created to confound you with fear".

She touched on one of the major issues of the Abrams-Kemp campaign: voting rights.

"I've got a message for all of Stacey Abrams' liberal Hollywood friends: This ain't Hollywood", Pence said.

The president was asked about Oprah Winfrey campaigning in Georgia.

"I paid to come here myself, and I approved this message", Winfrey said, explaining that she tracked down Abrams' cellphone number and called her to say she wanted to offer assistance in the final days of the campaign.

Kemp is trying to extend the Republican domination in Georgia, which hasn't elected a Democrat as governor since 1998.

And in a nod to the allegations of voter suppression that have marked the gubernatorial race, Winfrey told the crowd that "every single one of us has something that, if done in numbers too big to tamper with, can not be suppressed and can not be denied". He's banking on running up wide margins outside metro Atlanta and holding most of the GOP votes closer to the city.
