National Basketball Association bad boy DeMarcus Cousins was sent off during the Golden State Warriors game on Friday evening - despite already being sidelined by injury.

While on the bench in street clothes, DeMarcus Cousins was ejected from the Warriors game against the Knicks on Friday night.

That fact, though, didn't stop him from earning a technical foul and getting thrown out of the game.

As play resumed following a timeout with 2:28 remaining in the period, it was announced that Cousins had been assessed a technical foul during the break, and then subsequently ejected. Two technical fouls usually warrant an ejection, but officials felt that just one for a benched player was enough in this case.

Cousins was also seen arguing with Knicks player Enes Kanter. "I'll talk to him about it-I gotta hear from Demarcus what happened and we'll talk it out".

DeMarcus Cousins has begun practicing with the Warriors.

A source told ESPN's Marc Spears that Cousins and Kanter were talking trash to each other on the court during workouts hours before the game.

The near-7-footer is out of action for the foreseeable future as he works his way back from a torn left Achilles.
