Verizon Stops SIM Locking Pixel 3 and 3 XL for Now

Verizon Stops SIM Locking Pixel 3 and 3 XL for Now

Pricing follows the official Google Store pricing which means you'll need to splash the cash to the tune of £739/£839 for the 64GB/128GB variants of the Pixel 3 and £869/£969 for the 64GB/128GB versions of the Pixel 3 XL.

Just a day after the Pixel 3 XL was spotted featuring an AMOLED panel from Samsung, a teardown carried out by iFixit has now revealed the presence of an LG OLED display on Google Pixel 3. Google says the Pixel 3 is the first device to ship with this capability. This is unlike the a year ago Pixel family that had the larger, Pixel 2 XL with a panel from LG and the smaller, Pixel 2 with a Samsung display. We don't have a timeline on when the feature will arrive; we only know that it's coming "soon". Since Google is already copying the notch form iPhone, why not go a little more and take the display as well, eh?

The camera gear is also common, with a 12.2MP rear camera that improves over the camera on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, but for some reason ditches a depth sensor.

More news: Theresa May signals willingness to extend transition period

Following a short pre-order period, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are now shipping to customers in the United States and several other countries, including new markets such as France and Japan. However, the new development seems like their deal is officially closed, at least for Google Pixel devices.

But if you're picking up Google's latest flagship through Verizon or Best Buy in hopes of easily activating it on a different carrier, we've got a bit of bad news. Airtel has provided 18-months EMI plan at Rs 3,499 a month for Pixel 3 smartphone. That functionality gap will be closing in the near future, though, when Now Playing History makes its way to the Pixel 2.

While Google remains adamant its devices are the ultimate synthesis of hardware and software, its roots are apparently still making it prioritize the latter.
