Kavanaugh protesters financed by billionaire Soros

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Friday to call sexual assault survivors protesting Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court "very rude elevator screamers", and he suggested they are professionals paid by George Soros.

Susan Collins (Maine), and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), three key votes who could make or break the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

It was the second time in as many days that Trump has derided the demonstrators protesting Kavanaugh's nomination as having been "paid".

Hundreds more demonstrated outside the Supreme Court and inside the Senate Hart Office Building on Thursday. Friday morning's vote follows a September 27 hearing in which Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her at a gathering when the two were in high school in the 1980s.

Other Republicans have been more dismissive when confronted by protesters.

Among the women who have shared their stories of surviving sexual assault were two who accosted Sen.

Archila, a Queens resident, is the co-executive director at the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), an organization that works toward creating an "inclusive, equitable society" by advocating for "communities of colour, immigrants, working families, youth, women and the LGBTQ community".

"No one can pay for someone's lived experiences".

On Thursday, protesters swarmed into Capitol Hill and roamed the Senate hallways to lobby lawmakers who took turns in a secure basement room reviewing a single copy of a new Federal Bureau of Investigation background report on Kavanaugh. Conway said. "They can't be held responsible for whatever man or men have wronged these women".

He said the aggressive demonstrations directed at Republicans were the result of Democrat lawmakers encouraging that form of protesting.
