Fortnite Season 6 (v6.0) Map Updates - Floating Island, Corn Fields, and more

Fortnite season 6 launched earlier this morning, and along with it comes a brand new Battle Pass.

When asked how something this seemingly elaborate gets unintentionally programmed into a massive update for the most popular game in the world, the spokesperson did not elaborate further.

You can find this week's Battle Star at the small ranch that's to the right of Paradise Palms.

Loot Lake is now covered by a Floating Island.

Season six doesn't disappoint, with massive alterations to the Battle Royale map, adorable pets that accompany you into battle, and lots more.

You'll also notice Corrupted Areas scattered around the map.

Once again, the most significant changes in Battle Royale are to the map.

And here's the first official image of the Haunted Castle, just in time for Halloween. You can't use your weapons when you are invisible, though, which only works when you are stationary.

As per Season 5, we're going to see Weekly Challenges this week split into Free and Battle Pass segments.

In addition to Shadow Stones, the Vaulted Impulse Grenade, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Bouncer, and Remote Explosives have all been added back into the vault. There's Bonesy, a dog; Scales, a teeny tiny dragon; and Camo, a cute chameleon who happens to be my personal favorite.

New Season, new Battle Pass. 100 levels, over 100 new rewards. We're sure that Epic Games is on the case with figuring out the cause of this issue, and Xbox One players will be able to enjoy the game alongside PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile players sooner rather than later.

As for new items, Fortnite is getting pets - yep, pets.
