Elon Musk Calls Thailand Cave Expert a 'Child Rapist'

SpaceX and Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk renewed his attack on British cave diver Vernon Unsworth, who was instrumental in saving the lives of 12 schoolboys and their football coach marooned in a cave in Thailand for over 10 days in July.

Musk also claimed he had not yet been sued by Unsworth and added: 'As for this alleged threat of a lawsuit, which magically appeared when I raised the issue (nothing was sent or raised beforehand), I fucking hope he sues me'.

Buzzfeed said: "It is unclear why Musk believes the allegations against Unsworth or what evidence he has to support them". They have been going out for seven years and live together in a home near Chiang Rai in Thailand.

The original tweet branding Unsworth as a "pedo guy" has been deleted by Musk, who boasts over 22 million followers on Twitter.

Musk made the unfounded claim after Unsworth was part of an global team that saved 12 young footballers and their coach from the Tham Luang cave complex.

Musk also teed off on Unsworth's assessment that the miniature submarine Musk's company Space-X engineered for the rescue effort was just a "PR stunt", saying it wasn't used was because pumps had already removed much of the water from the Tham Luang cave before the sub's arrival. "Musk did not provide proof of his claims to Buzzfeed News, and Buzzfeed News could not verify any of the claims after reporting on Unsworth's background". "Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it".

The cave diver, 63, helped rescue the trapped soccer team from a cave but faced criticism from Musk, when Unsworth said Musk's mini-submarine theory for rescuing the boys had "absolutely no chance of working".

The proposed class-action complaint filed on Thursday is the latest of at least seven shareholders' suits that have been filed since August 7, when Musk said on Twitter that he had "funding secured" to take Tesla private at $420 a share.

Mr Unsworth's girlfriend, Woranan Ratrawiphukkun, 40, yesterday said she was "no child bride".

The young footballers and their coach were trapped from June 23 after the cave in Chiang Rai province that they in, was flooded.

Unsworth denied the accusations through his lawyer L Lin Wood on Wednesday, calling them "vindictive and vicious lies".

That period ended after the New York Times published an interview in which Mr Musk, who owns about one-fifth of Tesla, described severe stress he faced running the Palo Alto, California-based company. "His conduct demonstrates that his recklessness is intentional and created to harm Mr. Unsworth".

In a statement to the Guardian Tuesday, Unsworth's lawyer said Musk's "false accusations" were "inexcusable".
