Aussie Instagram model found dead on billionaire’s yacht

The mystery surrounding the death of a 20-year-old Australian Instagram model has deepened.

It's been reported Sinead may have died on Thursday, three weeks after her 20th birthday, which she celebrated in Greece.

The super-yacht is owned by Mexican mining magnate Alberto Bailleres.

Local media has reported a crew member found Ms McNamara's body on the back of the boat on Friday and alerted port authorities.

The twenty-year-old who is from Port Macquarie in Northern New South Wales, talks about her love for adventure, travelling and camping on her social media accounts.

Authorities have taken depositions from the crew as part of their investigation, as well as performing an autopsy on McNamara's body.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to the young woman's family.

McNamara, who was described as an Instagram model with more than 15,000 followers, had been working on the $140 million yacht for the last four months. Her mother, Kylie, was heading to Greece when she was told her daughter died, The Australian reported.

The twenty-year-old was born and raised in Port Macquarie in Northern New South Wales but often shared her travel adventures to other countries with her almost 14 thousands followers on Instagram. Local media outlets in Greece say McNamara tried to commit suicide aboard the mega ship, citing anonymous sources.

Just four days ago, Ms McNamara was 'jet skiing around the most lovely turquoise water in the med, ' she said referring to Mediterranean.

"Rest In Peace attractive xx so much love", one person wrote in tribute, while another said: "Fly high gorgeous".

"RIP! Sending, love, light, strength & courage to your family", one wrote with a rose emoji. Will cherish all our memories.
