Moggi speaks on Juventus signing Cristiano Ronaldo

Sources close to Ronaldo told ESPN that Juventus have made an offer to Real Madrid for the Portuguese superstar but that no decision has been reached by any party at this point, despite an earlier unverified report in Spain saying the clubs had agreed on a deal.

The soccer superstar might join Juventus from Real Madrid this summer in a transfer worth around €100 million (£88.3 million/$116.5 million), according to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, who reported Tuesday on "Jugones" the blockbuster transfer rumor is nearly a done deal.

"Real Madrid would like to state that it is completely false", an official statement read. Real Madrid know about Cristiano's wish to leave but they won't accept Juventus' offer unless the player publicly explains why he wants to go.

The report claims that Juventus are set to offer Ronaldo a staggering 4-year contract worth £26m-a-year.

According to Marca, Ronaldo is understood to have been taking the weather factor into consideration, but he is also aware that Madrid is one of the few cities in the world that combines great weather with the chance of playing for one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world.

Spanish television channel TVE reported on Monday that the Champions League winners had submitted the bid for the player who left Barcelona a year ago for a record 222 million euros.

The report claims Real Madrid would pay the world record fee in four installments and his departure would signficiantly ease the Financial Fair Play sanctions facing PSG.
