Korea still have 1% chance, says Se-jong

Defender Jimmy Durmaz and his Sweden teammates delivered a powerful anti-racism message on Sunday, following a spate of sickening insults he received following a critical World Cup mishap.

Werner, 22, admitted the Germans have seen little of South Korea, other than their defeats to group rivals Mexico and Sweden, but will do their homework.

"When things aren't going your way, a player like him can be so important".

Marco Reus says Germany must ignore the pressure and play their brand of free-flowing football to win the make-or-break World Cup game against South Korea on Wednesday and reach the last 16 in Russian Federation.

South Korea midfielder Ju Se-jong believes his side's chances of staying in the World Cup rose from zero to one per cent after Germany's dramatic win over Sweden.

Toni Kroos of Germany scores his team's second goal during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia group F match between Germany and Sweden at Fisht Stadium on June 23, 2018 in Sochi, Russia.

In the hours that followed Durmaz received thousands of social media messages, some of them of a deeply offensive and racist nature.

Substitute Durmaz gave away the stoppage-time free-kick that led to Toni Kroos's stunning late victor in the Group F clash, and the stream of invectives on the 29-year-old's Instagram account began nearly as soon as the goal was scored.

"We have shown that we can give the best teams great difficulties".

"We want to win the group and we want to win our next game (against Sweden) as getting nine points in a World Cup would mean we are doing something unique".

If Mexico and South Korea both win, Mexico would win the group and every other team would be tied with three points.

Backed by his team mates, coaches and staff, he read out a prepared statement at their training ground. Hector Moreno and Hector Herrera will have to be careful to avoid another booking, which would make them ineligible for their fourth game, should they advance in the tournament. "Obviously we're angry and sad but we need to reload and do it in the next game".

"I haven't had anything said to me personally but some of them said sorry to us after the game".
