Heather Locklear Arrested After Alleged Battery of Police Officer in Thousand Oaks

Police were called to Locklear's house after she got into an argument with friends and family there, said a spokesperson with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office. The relative told authorities there was a disturbance. Locklear appeared "heavily intoxicated" and was "arguing with other subjects at the residence".

"Her family was scared for her", the source said.

She was taken to a hospital then taken to jail and booked on two misdemeanor battery counts, he said. While the EMT was evaluating the actress, she kicked him as well.

According to RadarOnline.com, Locklear checked into a 5-day detox center in L.A., but left after two days. "In the process of trying to separate her, she battered the deputy.There was no injury to the deputy".

Locklear's mugshot, which was obtained by The Blast, was released after her arrest Monday.

The Daily Mail published photos of Locklear, 56, leaving the facility at 9:10 a.m.in a gray hoodie, plaid flannel pajama trousers and flip-flops after her attorney, William Haney, posted her $20,000 bail.

According to court records, Locklear is scheduled to appear in court in August for her most recent charges.

Locklear engaged in a similar situation in February.

She has pleaded not guilty in that case.

She has previously spoken about her struggles with addiction.

Representatives for Locklear did not immediately return Newsweek's request for comment.

Heather Locklear was arrested Sunday night after attacking a police officer and a paramedic, it's been confirmed.
