Melania Trump Makes Surprise Visit To Border Facilities

To exit the vehicle and head to the plane that would take her to Texas, FLOTUS wore a green hooded jacket that features graffiti on the back that reads "I really don't care, do u?"

US first lady Melania Trump walks from her to her motorcade wearing a Zara design jacket with the phrase "I Really Don't Care". That jacket is just another reminder of who she really is and who she's married to.

Melania Trump becomes the first Trump family member to personally witness the situation that has captured the country's attention over the past several weeks.

The first lady's spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, reportedly responded saying, "It's a jacket". She put the jacket back on as she disembarked from her plane back at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C.

"Why did @FLOTUS wear this tone-deaf jacket boarding the plane for this trip, allegedly to show she cares about the kids in these detention facilities?!" another person questioned.

Thursday's statement may have been a message to the speculating public that the first lady really doesn't care what absurd ideas the world may have about where she's been or what she's thinking. "(Much like her high heels last year)". The Trump administration came under widespread criticism over the separations, which it said were necessary under the existing laws barring the jailing of children.

And one wonderful person turned the social media frenzy around the jacket into an opportunity to raise awareness for people in need.

The youthful jacket sharply contrasts with the first lady's typically bold wardrobe. Earlier this week, she said that she "hates to see children separated from their families", according to Grisham. One outraged user borrowed an image of the back of the jacket to promote groups working on behalf of immigrant children.

Her visit comes amid growing outrage in the United States over a policy that separates migrant children who illegally enter the USA with their parents. Since the Stormy Daniels stories began, Melania has been noticeably absent from her husband's side.

You could argue that Trump really tipped her hand when she wished the foster children "good luck" upon exiting the facility.

Twitter user RiotGrl posted: "If Michelle Obama had worn the jacket Melania Trump wore today, there would be civil war right now".
