New rape allegations surface against Harvey Weinstein

"Harvey Weinstein may have been put in handcuffs for his assault on two women, but we are working to see a day of justice for the hundreds of women who were exploited for Weinstein's sexual gratification and silenced by this ring of conspirators", said Hagens Berman partner Elizabeth Fegan in a statement. He promised to make a deal that afternoon if she would meet him for a drink at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, the suit alleges. Deceptive tactics were used to entice her to turn over her visual and audio evidence of Weinstein's conduct (which she did). The suit highlights that at all times, Weinstein's victims and those who met to discuss projects or audition for him "operated under duress and the threat of being blacklisted" by Weinstein and major producers at Miramax if they refused, or spoke up. That time, Dulany says, she was able to fend him off. Feeling trapped, she agreed to the therapeutic massage within the hope that may be the extent of the assault, however when she climbed on the mattress to rub his again, he turned over, flipped her onto her again and raped her, based on the criticism.

Thompson says that back in 2011, she pitched Weinstein on a tech marketing idea.

A second complainant, actress Caitlin Dulany, alleges that Weinstein sexually assaulted her in Cannes in 1996, while a third woman, actress Larissa Gomes, accuses Weinstein of attacking her in a hotel in Toronto in 2000.

Harvey Weinstein was arrested and charged with rape last week.

Defense attorney for Harvey Weinstein says movie mogul will plead not guilty; Laura Ingle reports.

Through a Weinstein spokesman, Juda Englemayer, Brafman denied he or his firm ever represented Thompson, and added he never met with her or any other woman named in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleged that the recorded images captured some of Weinstein's advances.

Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said: "The announcement of Weinstein, left, has been indicted on rape and sex offence charges by a Manhattan grand jury Mr Weinstein's indictment does not come as a surprise".

Two other women also made claims in the lawsuit.

After she despatched video to Spiro, believing he labored for Brafman, she later texted him and he responded, "What? No". "What? No I don't work there. Nor do I rep anybody concerned".

"She had shared essential proof in opposition to Weinstein with the very regulation agency who represented Weinstein - unbeknownst to her", the lawsuit stated.

"Thompson panicked", the lawsuit reads.

Brafman, in a statement, distanced himself from the attorney identified in the lawsuit - Alexander Spiro - describing him as a former associate who left to practice law at a different firm, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, in September 2017, a month before the alleged contact.
