Arsenal in shock move for Manchester United midfielder

Departing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is pricing himself out of a move to PSG.

Juillard told followers on social media that Fellaini will meet with Arsenal reps "at the beginning of the week". Talks are expected to be held with Fellaini this Wednesday.

The Belgian international's representatives are all set to meet Arsenal officials to discuss a proposed switch this summer, despite an offer from his current employers which it seems he is unlikely to sign.

Man United manager Jose Mourinho, who is a known fan of Fellaini and would ideally like to keep him around, would be loath to lose the 30-year-old to a Premier League rival.

Talks over extending his Manchester United deal appear to have broken down, which means he will soon be able to negotiate a move elsewhere and end his five-year stay at Old Trafford.

United have reportedly offered Fellaini a new deal but a lack of playing time will nearly certainly force him to move on.

The report states that new Gunners boss Unai Emery tried to sign Fellaini while at Paris Saint-Germain and is now in the market for a tall central midfield player.

Fellaini, who made his name at Everton, is now away with Belgium's World Cup squad and is not expected to make any decisions over his future until he returns from Russian Federation next month.

Fellaini has also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.
