30-year-old leaves parents home with help from Alex Jones

Michael Rotondo - the 30-year-old man who was taken to court by his mom and dad to get him booted out of their house - is packing up to leave. but it has not gone smoothly.

Millennial Michael Rotondo is finally moving out of his parents' upstate NY home - thanks to conservative host Alex Jones who gave him $3,000 to help him move.

According to the Syracuse.com report, Rotondo moved all of his belongings from the home, including a Volkswagon Passat that had been sitting in his parents' driveway, untouched for months. Syracause.com reports that Rotondo left 2-1/2 hours before the noon deadline set by a judge last week.

He told reporters on Thursday - after taking a break from packing to "run an errand" on his bike - that he will be keeping his belongings in a self-storage unit nearby until he finds new accommodation, which he hopes will be "someplace cheap, with internet".

Rotondo called the police and once they arrived, found the Legos.

Mr Rotondo told the Daily Mail he blamed his parents' "refusal" to support his bid for custody of his son for a breakdown in their relationship that led to the court case.

"I'm glad to be out of this place", Rotondo said Thursday. First, in October, there were the informal discussions about leaving the house; then, beginning in February, there were the notes that escalated from a little financial motivation to formal orders to leave; and finally, after an original 30-day deadline lapsed, there was the confrontation in court.

The move caps a brief rush of celebrity for Rotondo, whose parents pleaded with him to move out and get a job and even offered him money to leave.

"I think it's really unfair that I'm not going to get enough time to really prepare a good move", he said.

"Get one - you have to work!"

"This isn't a game show", he said. Asked if that marks a dramatic change in his thinking, given his recent hard-fought court battle, Rotondo answered succinctly.

Rotondo will reportedly be staying in an Airbnb while he figured out a long-term plan. "I don't have to guess what's behind Door No. 1".
