Beyoncé wows fans, makes history with Coachella performance

The festival's music is eclectic, with a huge rang of genres on offer including rock, indie, electronica and hip hop. Beyoncé performed at two-hour set of her hits in Indio, California, where the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is held each year. The star's performance was dubbed "legendary".

Aside from the music, her performance had everything you'd expect from a Beyoncé show - high energy dance routines, insane vocals, glittery outfits, figure-hugging body suits and a lot of sparkle.

Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, and husband Jay-Z also joined Beyonce on stage during her set.

She even took a brief moment to sing the Black National Anthem, Lift Every Voice, as one of her transitions.

The group played three songs from their heyday: "Lose My Breath", "Say My Name" and "Soldier".

Later, the Grammy award victor, 36, staged a Destiny's Child reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Beyoncé was supposed to headline Coachella in 2017 but had to cancel because she was pregnant with twins, according to CNN.

This time around, her rendition of Adichie's talks at Coachella concert was seamless and captivating. At one point in her set, DJ Khaled declared that the festival should be renamed "Beychella".

We can forgive Adele for completely losing her mind during Beyonce's epic and historic headlining performance at Coachella Saturday night - she wasn't alone. So I had time to dream and dream and dream with two lovely souls in my belly. "I hope y'all enjoyed the show, we worked very hard".
