The last-four draw takes place at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland at 12pm BST on Friday, with the games to be played on April 24/25 and May 1/2.

Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and AS Roma have proved their mettle on the biggest of stages and deserve to be in contention to become the champions of Europe.

The former England global Chris Waddle believes Real Madrid are Liverpool's biggest threat left in the Champions League.

The UEFA website will also broadcast a live stream of the draw.

It is the first time in Champions League history there will be a representative from England, Germany, Italy and Spain in the semi-finals.

Liverpool are still in the hunt for their sixth European Cup after reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in 10 years on Tuesday.

There will be four teams in the hat and there will be no restrictions over who can face who in the semi-finals.

The first legs will be on Tuesday, April 24th and Wednesday 25, with the return legs on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday 2.

The soon-to-be Premier League champions Manchester City - their quarter-final opponents - were expected to put up a better fight, but in the end Liverpool breezed past them 5-1 on aggregate. Jurgen Klopp's men hammered the table toppers 3-0 at Anfield, before coming from behind to win 2-1 at The Etihad.

The final takes place on Saturday May 26 form the NSC Olimpiyskyi stadium in Kiev.
