Amiirka Qatar oo u mahadnaqay Donald Trump

Qatar has denied the charges.

Qatar's Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani can be on the White Home on Tuesday.

"We do not and we will not tolerate. people who fund terrorism".

Amid the ongoing Gulf states' boycott and mounting scandals, the emir of Qatar will be meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House tomorrow.

Trump had initially supported an economic blockade on Qatar, but aides - mindful of the pivotal role that the Al Udeid Air Base outside Doha plays in US Middle East operations - have since convinced him to take a more moderate approach.

America's allies within the Persian Gulf are feuding with Qatar.

Last June, Trump backed Saudi Arabia and the UAE's hard-line rhetoric against neighbour Qatar in a tweet.

Trump says in the Oval Office that "we're making sure that terrorism funding is stopped" in the region.

The Gulf emirate is a long-standing American military ally and host to the largest U.S. air base in the Middle East, but ties have been clouded by a crisis with its Arab neighbours.

The emir met US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on Monday and is due to meet Trump on Tuesday. We discussed strategic and regional issues including the grave situation in Syria, and as for the GCC rift, we both agreed it should be resolved by dialogue as it's doing unnecessary harm and impeding the fight against terrorism.

In a telephone name final week, Trump credited the emir with working to counter terror financing and extremism. Qatar denies that charge but has taken steps to address USA concerns.

Trump has spoken recently to the leaders of most of the countries involved in the dispute, and has pushed all five nations to resolve it, the State Department said.

"You certainly know that we see you as a long-time military partner and friend in the region", he told Sheikh Tamim.

"We have a gentleman on my right who buys a lot of equipment from us, a lot of purchases in the United States and a lot of military airplanes, missiles, lots of different things", Trump said.

Sheikh Tamim said his nation hosts more than 10,000 USA servicemen and women and work with Washington in countering terrorism.
