Trumps, Obamas not invited to wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The decision has avoided the niggling issue of how to manage the guest list if Harry and Meghan did want to invite Mr Obama and his wife Michelle.

Prince Harry and his betrothed Megan Markle are excluding all politicians from their wedding guest list.

Actress Katie Cassidy will always be fond of Prince Harry after she nearly became his girl during a night out in Miami, Florida.

Earlier this week Prince Harry and Ms Markle asked for charity donations in lieu of wedding gifts, listing seven charities supported by the couple.

The decision was reached after royal officials consulted with the British government to go over protocol and precedent.

"It has been decided that an official list of political leaders - both United Kingdom and worldwide - is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle's wedding", said a spokesperson for Kensington Palace, the official residence of William and Harry.

That means Trump and May will not be among the 600 people invited to the May 19 ceremony at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel.

I think we can all agree that it's pretty disappointing that Prince Harry is still planning to marry someone who is not me.

While it didn't look all that likely that President Trump would be invited, many speculated that the Obamas would be included.

"Whether you choose to eat your toast and Marmite (Harry's favourite snack*) from, or hang it on your wall, this plate won't fail to raise a smile and evoke pride in our country's most cherished couple". The royal family was accused of favoring the UK Conservative Party over Labour when former Conservative Prime Ministers John Major and Margaret Thatcher received invitations to Prince William's wedding, while Labour leaders Tony Blair and Gordon Brown did not.

Foreign royalty who are friends of Harry's may make the list but "nobody will be invited because of the position they hold", according to a subsequent Palmer leak.

Other guests on the day include a Young Mayor of a London borough, a mental health worker, primary school teacher and the founders of a community lunch that caters for people who are lonely over Christmas. Another 1,200 people will be welcomed into the castle's grounds.
