Always feeling the heat from rivals Amazon and Samsung, the organization is now said to launch the AI-fueled Google Home and Google Home Mini speakers in India. Google seems to be planning something special for India. Its products under the Nest brand include devices such as doorbells, cameras, alarm systems and smoke detector. Next, Google made it all official, with a tweet on Monday that teased the arrival of the Google Home and Google Home Mini soon in the country. The mid-range model is said to be one of multiple devices Google has in the pipeline for launch this summer, with the company specifically targeting it at emerging markets like India. Rival Amazon's Echo speakers powered by the Alexa voice-assistant are already available in Indian market.

As expected, the display of the phone is a near-edge-to-edge design, with a Full View screen covering 97 percent of the front. They are expected to arrive with support for Hindi and 12 other regional languages. The Google Home lineup will be in a rivalry directly with the Echo series in a trial to familiarize the concept of consumer-facing Internet of Things devices in India. According to a report from ET, they will launch the smart speakers at the event and the speakers will be priced at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 4,499, respectively. It will be interesting to see if Google goes for a lower pricing with its speakers.

As far as the market strategy is concerned, it is hard to miss that this launch comes close at the heels of the launch of Amazon's Echo smart range of speakers that happened back in October 2017.
