Rick Ross Hospitalized & On Life Support

Early Thursday morning, Rick Ross was hospitalized after being found "unresponsive" in his home.

Miami-based rap big dawg Rick Ross has reportedly been put on life support at a Miami-area hospital. ECMO is a process which oxygenates a person's blood outside of their body, before being pumped back into their body.

The rapper Fat Trel, who is signed to Ross's record label, said Ross was "good" and was not on life support. The caller also said that the 42-year-old rapper, who reportedly became "combative" with emergency officials, was just "nodding his head" and had "boo-bood on himself".

There were conflicting media reports on whether Ross' condition was heart-related or respiratory-related or both.

Rick Ross has had a history with seizures.

But reports that Ross was "on life support" were being denied by the singer's family and some friends.

In 2011, Ross also suffered from two seizures within a six-hour period.

Ross' former girlfriend and mother of his child, William Roberts III, told People magazine, "Pray for him". Ross ascribed the episodes to absence of rest, however has since changed has lifestyle and eating regimen. Due to all the medical scares, according to TMZ, Rick got on a mission to get his health together and ended up losing 100 pounds.
