As we watched Friday morning's practice sessions at the Los Angeles Convention Center, it quickly became clear that Team World was chock full of dudes both very eager to, and very capable of, shooting the lights out from long distance. The Los Angeles Lakers were supposed to have a competitor in the dunk contest, but they traded Larry Nance Jr.to the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 8. The talent was put on display tonight in Los Angeles.

Kuzma's recall aside, the USA did turn in some entertaining made dunks, too, including a loud off-the-glass crush by Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell that got us all very interested in seeing what he might have up his sleeve for Saturday night's Verizon Slam Dunk ...

Jaylen Brown led the way for Team USA with 16 points at the half.

Team World finished with 23 three-pointers to the Americans' 11, and the 36-point deficit was ultimately the difference in the game.

Bogdanovic jokingly brought up the topic of himself and Hield taking on Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in a three-point contest prior to the Rising Stars Challenge.

The Kings rookie went on to win MVP honours for a team-high 26 points to go along with seven three-pointers, six assists and four rebounds.
