Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric selected for NBA's Rising Stars game

The game will be played during NBA All-Star weekend in LA and take place on February 16 at 9 p.m. ET.

Hield is averaging 12.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Embiid, already rewarded with a starting nod to the All-Star Game, will join Simmons in the All-Star Weekend's Rising Stars game. Those performances put Murray among an elite group, including Anthony Davis, Karl Anthony-Towns, Damian Lillard, Joel Embiid, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and LeBron James, as the only first- or second-year players since 2001 to post 30-plus points, 5-plus rebounds and 2-plus assists in back-to-back games.

Saric, 23, has raised his game in his second year with the team, averaging 14 points per game and 7 rebounds per game.

Though Fox is listed as day-to-day with an injury, he's averaged 10.4 points, a team-leading 4.3 assists in 26.5 minutes of action as a rookie. He's shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point range, sixth in the National Basketball Association and second among all global players. Additionally, Mitchell totaled a Jazz-rookie record 41 points on December 1, marking the first 40-point outing by a first-year player since Griffin in January 2011.

The Kings have had 11 players in the Rookie or Rising Stars Challenge dating to 1994, most recently Isaiah Thomas in 2013.

The US squad also includes Malcolm Brogdon (Bucks), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), John Collins (Hawks), Kris Dunn (Bulls), Donovan Mitchell (Jazz), Dennis Smith Jr.

The initial look at the rosters points to the World having a slight edge over the USA team, but that will be largely dependent on how much burn Embiid gets in this game with the All-Star game also on his schedule.
