North Korea Mistakenly Bombed Own City During Failed Missile Test

The Diplomat exclusively reported on the location of the missile crash, which was in Tokchon, a city that has a population of about 200,000 North Koreans.

These included "ground disturbances in an area that previously contained a building with fencing" and damage to a greenhouse on the complex.

North Korea conducted a missile test on April 28, 2017 that didn't go quite as planned.

Last year, the regime also named new sites for missile testing, a move viewed as a way to show the flexibility of its Strategic Rocket Force. However, it is not known whether any loss of life was reported.

"The ICBM Hwasong-15 type weaponry system is an intercontinental ballistic rocket tipped with super-large heavy warhead. which is capable of striking the whole mainland of the U.S", North Korea's Central News Agency, a mouthpiece of the communist party, said on November 29.

While both landed in the ocean, this new report of a failed missile test certainly poses the possibility that a failed missile test over Japan could cause grave destruction there.

A new report reveals a missile fired by North Korean military past year actually hit one of the nation's own cities.

North Korea shows no signs of slowing down despite the supposed failures.

"The missile never flew higher than approximately 70 kilometres. North Korea is putting considerable faith in the guidance systems of these missiles".

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un discussing weapons in Pyongyang.

Two Unha-3 missiles have been successfully launched, the latest in February 2016 from the Sohae Satellite Launching Station in the northwest of the communist country. Just this week, Kim said he has a button on his table for nuclear weapons that can reach the entire USA mainland.

In the war of words that followed, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un threatened to launch a missile strike on the U.S. with President Donald Trump then responding in kind, saying that he did not rule a military solution to the conflict. President Trump said that he was "sending an armada" to the region, which turned out to be a lie.

Trump, who has frequently called Kim "little rocket man", tweeted Tuesday that he also has a nuclear button that's "bigger and more powerful".
