Crystal Palace 2-3 Arsenal

The Arsenal midfielder politely answered everything asked of him in his post-match interview after Arsenal's dramatic 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace on Thursday night but he has clearly grown exhausted of answering the same old questions every time he shows glimpses of what he's capable of.

At a time when there are still doubts about Wenger's abilities despite his remarkable longevity - in overseeing his 810th Premier League fixture the Frenchman equalled the record of Sir Alex Ferguson - his team displayed so numerous traits he inspires.

Crystal Palace had been undefeated in its last eight games and, though it next hosts Manchester City, it again demonstrated it can survive by often resisting Arsenal and going level with Andros Townsend's goal.

Palace were able to apply some pressure during the opening stages, the closest they came to testing Petr Cech came when Yohan Cabaye shot narrowly wide from 20 yards out.

The Gunners took the lead when Shkodran Mustafi slotted home the rebound after Alexandre Lacazette's effort was saved on 25 minutes.

"He showed he's back in a good shape and is competitive".

It also made the winger a target for some robust treatment with Callum Chambers booked for pulling him back.

Zaha beat Calum Chambers easily and cut a pass back towards the penalty spot, where Townsend arrived to send an emphatic strike into the bottom-left corner.

Then four minutes later, the forward had his second after collecting Wilshere's long ball over the top with his first touch and finishing with his second.
