Selena Gomez Delivers Emotional Acceptance Speech as Billboard Women of the Year

"When I found out I was a match for Selena, I didn't think twice about it", she said of her kidney donation.

Breaking down in tears, the singer apologised before continuing with her speech, saying: "I feel incredibly lucky".

After posing for photos with her close friend Francia Raisa, Selena talked to Billboard about how she was feeling after receiving a kidney transplant.

"Francia should get this award...she saved my life".

The brunette beauty was extremely emotional, Thursday night, while accepting her "Woman of the Year" Billboard award in Hollywood.

She literally saved her life.

Selena surprised many with the news of her transplant on September 14 by sharing a photograph of her and Francia in their hospital gowns holding hands to her 128 million Instagram followers. "I want people to know that I respect the platform that I have so deeply because I knew that I wanted to be a part of something great and I wanted people to feel great because I love people".

After weeks of keeping fans guessing and some recent PDA, Selena Gomez has confirmed it's definitely back on with Justin Bieber. I'm good, I'm really good."Selena not only said that Francia should be actually getting the award, but also thanked her family and team for being with her throughout her struggles".

The Sun Online exclusively revealed earlier this month that Selena and Justin are back together, after Justin's pastor Carl Lentz encouraged them to reunite. "That was the day I came home and she volunteered, she did it".

"I'm really honoured to do this for her ..."

The honoree said, "How courageous it is that voices are being heard for the first time it's so great and for all the older women that lifted all of us up because I couldn't be here without any of you".

"Now more than ever, it's incumbent on every one of us to raise up the next generation of female leaders, so at the future Women in Music events, the executive of the year will stand up here and thank a woman for being her mentor", Greenwald, who was named Executive of the Year, stressed in her speech.
