Melania Trump Never Thought He'd Win

Melania Trump is celebrating 200 years of holiday celebrations at the White House under the theme of "Time-Honored Traditions", which the White House says was designed by Melania herself.

Melania had also grown exhausted of his dithering about whether to get involved in politics, a longtime Trump advisor told the magazine. "She was very clearly the one who said, 'Either run or don't run, '" says Roger Stone, who paraphrases Melania's message to her husband: "Your friends are exhausted of this striptease". Stone allegedly stated, "she (Melania) said, 'It's not my thing. Every four years you talk about it.'" And with that quasi-encouragement, Trump ran, but Melania wasn't counting on a victory.

"She knew it was in his blood", Stone told the publication. "He always wanted to run". She is the one who pushed him to run just by saying run or do not run.

The piece quoted a "longtime friend of the Trumps'" who remains unnamed.

Trump's first wife incurred the wrath of the first lady when she boasted about being Trump's "first lady" in interviews with the likes of Good Morning America, The Wendy Williams Show and Fox News.

Ms Trump has had a fraught relationship with her husband's first wife Ivana Trump.

The joke did not go down well with the current First Lady and resulted in Stephanie Grisham, Melania's communications director, unleashing a scathing rebuttal.

Although sometimes inscrutable to the public, the first lady has slowly started to carve out a public role.

Paolo Zampolli, a former modeling agency boss who introduced the couple and is now a USA ambassador, said of Mrs Trump: "She knows what she wants". 'I don't think she thought it was going to happen'.
