'SNL' announces December hosts: Saoirse Ronan, James Franco, Kevin Hart

"Saturday Night Live" is closing out the year with two veteran hosts. Joining Ronan on her hosting debut will be U2, whose new album, Songs of Experience, drops December 1.

Meanwhile, the previously announced U2 and Saoirse Ronan will appear on the December 2 show, while Foo Fighters and Kevin Hart will helm this year's Christmas episode on December 16.

Though NBC hasn't announced it yet, it seems likely that there will be a Saturday Night Live Christmas special of some kind coming later in the month, either on December 23 or the week leading up to that weekend.

The hosts will have some formidable musical accompaniment. too.

SZA will provide the musical entertainment for the episode, as well.

December 2 will bring a veteran musical guest and a first-time host.

In addition, R&B songstress SZA will make her first=ever SNL debut on December 9, and perform alongside host James Franco, who has already been on the show three other times.

Finally, Kevin Hart is returning to host Saturday Night Live for what will be the Christmas episode of the season on December 16.
