Actress Files Lawsuit Against Harvey Weinstein's Company For Covering Up His Behaviour

In a press conference Tuesday in NY held by lawyer Gloria Allred, Mimi Haleyi claimed Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006.

Allred said Hayleyi was in her 20s at the time of the alleged attack in 2006 and would not comment on whether she had any contact with Weinstein after that. Weinstein then suggested that he perform oral sex on her, the lawsuit states.

Haleyi claimed during a Tuesday press conference that the incident occurred at Weinstein's home in New York City in 2006, the New York Post reported.

Haleyi, who first met the powerful movie maker in 2004 at the European premiere of the film "Aviator" in London and worked as a production assistant on a TV show he produced, said the disgraced mogul was relentless.

"It's a civil case and one of her motivations is to kind of clean up Hollywood by holding the (Weinstein) company accountable for the casting couch, which would be a seismic shift in Hollywood", he said. These are allegations made in statements, he said.

She said she ran into the once-mighty mogul again in Cannes, France, in 2006 and agreed to meet him at his hotel to discuss possible job opportunities back in NY. She declined and left.

"Weinstein engaged in sexual misconduct with Ms. Huett by, among other things, performing oral sex on Ms. Huett and masturbating in front of her", according to the complaint.

"Taking on a powerful guy like that is too much, it's too intimidating, so what we are seeing is a collective empowerment of women", Herman says.

Weinstein "was a complete gentleman" during that follow-up meeting, she recalled. Once there, however, Weinstein went to the bathroom and returned only in a bathrobe, Huett alleges.

"I told him no, no, no but he insisted", she said, describing the sexual assault while seated beside Allred at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel on Madison Avenue.

Haleyi finally told Weinstein she wasn't interested in him romantically and that she had heard about his "terrible reputation with women".

Mimi Haleyi is on a list of people that NY officials are seeking to speak with in the ongoing investigation into allegations against Weinstein, according to law enforcement sources.

"Vague apologies are not enough". "At that time, I was crying because I felt humiliated".

Since the start of this month, Weinstein has faced numerous allegations of harassment and sexual abuse.

Weinstein entered an undisclosed treatment program after exposes in The New York Times and The New Yorker uncovered a pattern of sexual harassment claims and settlements going back decades.
