Shin Megami Tensei V Coming To Nintendo Switch

Shin Megami Tensei V Coming To Nintendo Switch

Today Atlus revealed a teaser trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V for Nintendo Switch and the JRPG fans can begin hyping about it. The Switch game will be the next mainline title in the series, simply titled Shin Megami Tensei 5.

We know very little about the game outside of the teaser trailer above, which shows two high school students wandering through a train station and some demonic corpses in a tunnel beneath Tokyo. The trailer then cuts to black and the mysterious words, "Shekinah Glory" and "Daath" appear on the screen.

The Shin Megami Tensei series is considerably different than its spin-off, the Persona series, featuring darker plots, multiple story routes, and its demon negotiation and turn press mechanics.

Previous entry Shin Megami Tensei 4 was an exclusive to Nintendo 3DS, so this fifth installment appears to continue the trend of the series appearing on Nintendo handheld consoles.

The Megami Tensei series started in the late '80s with RPGs for the Famicom (the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System).

There's still no information or release date for Shin Megami Tensei V but Atlus will be announcing more in the near future.
