Tom Brady becomes NFL's career QB wins leader

Tom Brady was already the winningest quarterback in National Football League history.

The New England Patriots will play the New York Jets in one of the rivalry games on Sunday, start time at 1:00 PM ET, at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ.

But after the Patriots went three-and-out, the Jets were able to cut it to a one-score game on Chandler Catanzaro's 28-yard field goal with 3:40 left. The win was the 187th regular-season win for Brady, who has 212 total victories, including the playoffs. Officials ruled following a replay review that Seferian-Jenkins fumbled the ball out of bounds for a touchback, negating the score and giving the ball to New England.

The journeyman quarterback became the sixth player in as many games to throw for at least 300 yards against New England's defense this season.

"I wish we'd have done better", Brady said.

Controversy aside, Brady's record as a starter is phenomenal.

The Jets punted away on their next possession, opening the door for the Patriots to build some momentum, but Tom Brady was intercepted while trying to throw deep to Phillip Dorsett. As a result, the New York Jets didn't see their second drive start until the 14:10 mark of the fourth quarter. They held a 14-0 lead in the first half and pulled to within a touchdown of the Patriots in the fourth quarter. They've played well under veteran quarterback Josh McCown and have three straight wins coming into today's big test. Seferian-Jenkins had a career-high eight catches for 46 yards. His second touchdown of the day, a 31-yard strike to Jeremy Kerley, came on a play where McCown had to scramble to avoid a sack. When the Patriots needed a first down to close out the game in the fourth quarter, Brady & Co. couldn't deliver.

The Patriots are back at home next Sunday to face the Atlanta Falcons for a rematch of last season's Super Bowl.

The Jets gave it a great fight on Sunday.
