Angelina Jolie turns real life spy by helping capture warlord

Over the weekend, leaked court documents revealed that at one point the International Criminal Court (ICC) was considering Angelina Jolie as a decoy dinner guest to lure Ugandan warlord and social justice meme Joseph Kony out in public.

According to a report from The Sunday Times, the Oscar-winning actor wanted to help arrest Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony, leader of guerrilla group the Lord's Resistance Army.

The plot involved embedding Jolie and Pitt with a unit of U.S. Special Forces soldiers close to Kony's stronghold.

Another attempt at communication with the actress' assistant was met with a reply that Jolie had changed her personal email address. "Let's discuss logistics. Much love Xxx".

She's played spies in movies like Salt and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but a new report details how Angelina Jolie tried to help bring down a real-life criminal. "She is ready. Probably Brad (Pitt, her former husband) will go also". In a 2010 interview with Nightline, she admitted that she would be tempted to "take down" Kony if she were ever face to face with him. 'She loves to arrest Kony.

As The Sunday Times reported, Moreno Ocampo claimed he had been "the focus of a cyber-attack." E!

Jolie had visited the ICC in the Hague, Netherlands in May 2009 to watch Moreno Ocampo prosecute Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga, People said. I miss you, ' which went unanswered. Unfortunately, the unlikely team's plans never came to fruition, though Moreno Ocampo could still pursue his calling as a Hollywood screenwriter.

Other leaked ICC documents show that Jolie was not the only celebrity Moreno Ocampo attempted to persuade to join the global justice organization's efforts against genocide and human rights violations.

"I don't think I know anybody who doesn't hate Jospeh Kony", Jolie told The Telegraph in 2012.

In the wake of the leak, Ocampo claims that he is the victim of a "targeted cyber attack", as he's now being questioned over his alleged ties to Libyan businessman Hassan Tatanaki, who worked alongside former dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

And when Moreno Ocampo invited Sean Penn to a United Nations Security Council meeting regarding Sudan and mentioned that he was trying to decide if he should launch an investigation of Palestine, the longtime humanitarian reportedly replied, "While you make the decision on Palestine, I'm embroiled in a decision of weather [sic] or not to go to get a steam in the hotel spa".
