The BlackBerry smartphone Motion appeared on the new renderer

There's probably one more important BlackBerry smartphone making its way to shelves this year - the so-called BlackBerry Motion. Trusted tipster Evan Blass leaked the first image of the upcoming device.

We can see from the image that the new device won't have the famous BlackBerry keyboard like the KEYone, opting instead for a full touchscreen display, which is flanked by rather sizable bezels by today's increasingly strict standards. It looks like this smartphone has a front-facing fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the BlackBerry logo. The device is rumoured to come with 1080p display and backed by a 4000mAh battery. Until then, sit tight and let us know what name do you like the most "Krypton" or "Motion", in the comments section below. Speculations have it that the BlackBerry Motion would be coming with an IP67 rated chassis. "Hello, BlackBerry Motion". As you can see, the design of the BlackBerry Motion isn't anything new.

BlackBerry Motion could be another full touchscreen smartphone after DTEK50.

The BlackBerry KEYone launched with Android 7.1 Nougat and also boasted BlackBerry's own DTEK security software.

Travelling further south showcases the Motion's USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and bottom-firing speakers.

Unlike the recently-launched KEYone, the new smartphone doesn't have a physical keyboard. The right panel would feature three physical buttons for power, volume and other functions like playing music or opening an app directly.

Not much else is given away by the official-looking image but previous rumours claim that the TCL-built smartphone will pack a mammoth 4,000mAh battery, equipping the Motion with a 26-hour battery life.
